Director of Tennis

Matt Kiser returns this summer as the Director of Tennis.  He brings new and different ideas to Foothills to grow our tennis programs that make our club great and unique.

 

Matt started playing tennis at the age of 8 in Cape Town, South Africa.  He enjoyed playing many competitive sports growing up including basketball, football, gymnastics, trampolining, track, etc., but his love for tennis outpaced that for other sports.  Matt has been teaching at Woodmen-Roberts Elementary School for 25+ years, and is currently the PE teacher. Matt has also coached local area high school boys and girls tennis teams.  Matt plays competitively at the 4.5 and 5.0 levels and has taken a 9.0 Mixed Doubles USTA League to the National Championships.

Matt will organize our 3 holiday tennis tournaments, as well as some other great events this summer.  He will be offering programming for kids and adults in the form of beginner to advanced drills and lessons, Junior Team Tennis, adult team practices, USTA Leagues, private lessons, group lessons, and pickleball as a new offering.
